It was relaxing waking here in the morning after a wind battered night. My tent pegs were wrenched out of the ground, one of them with such force it was whipped away about twenty feet. The tent itself was flattened against me, making it more like a clumsy bivi. The morning was peaceful and warm enough to comfortably leave the tent with all it’s flapping noise. You realise the conditions are not as bad as you thought when you do this.
