Wales is not as attractive as the Lake District. I do however have some favourite places and views and this is one of them: the slopes leading up to Moel Siabod. The distant hills are very lovely in terms of shape, colour, and texture. Siabod is a fine walk, easy to do in four or five hours and with rewards such as this and excellent views to Snowdon at the summit. I enjoyed this day. There was substantial snow at the top but the slopes were almost autumnal.
