There’s a common theme across my shots, and photography in general, which is capturing stillness. Stillness lies at the heart of photography. To some extent this has been written about before and for several decades. You freeze, snap, isolate in time. The moment was moving, the joggers were jogging, and I was walking. I stopped to snap this moment. Not for photography as such, but for stillness. In Māori mythology, Uenuku is the god of rainbows.
