This was around four o’clock after I’d been walking in Lyme Park. Lyme Park borders onto the Peak District which is what you see here. It was a wonderful afternoon. When the sun sank in the sky there was an astonishing sulphurous glow. I didn’t walk up this path, mine was to the right, but it gave me the best composition for this simple moment of irradiated snow and glowing orange.
