The little gully in front is called Cluse Hey. It’s a regeneration area at the rear of Lyme Park, bordering the Peak District. Cows are being allowed to graze there, which will reduce the grass and undergrowth. There’s a sign which tells you this. I’ve read it several times and still don’t understand the plan or the objectives. This was a wonderful snowy romp. Only a few hours, I walked up this ridge, up to the skyline, then back down to Cluse Hey. I’ve photographed this view many times. I have shots which are quite similar from previous years. They’re not identical however, because the light and conditions are always different. This is a choice area for photography which I enjoy like repeat listening of music.
