The little gully in front is called Cluse Hey. It’s at the quiet part of Lyme Park above which there’s the hillside you see and then the Peak District. For years I thought this was the boundary and the hillside was the Peak District. Then I saw grazing deer which come from the park. The boundary is at the skyline.

I never tire of coming here enjoying the ever changing light, colours, and textures. I’ve walked down into Cluse Hey a few times. It’s always in shade however, and I always want the sun.
