This wasn’t a notable evening view compared to others I’ve seen. What I liked about it, and why I took the shot, is because of the subtlety. Not a big moon but clear enough; not dramatic colours but beautiful anyway.

The next part of my GR20 walk was over there. I didn’t climb the peak which is called Monte d’Oru. I later heard it was a “brutal” experience of boulders, rock, and punishing steepness. There were wonderful views slightly below it.
