One of the features of this area I enjoy is the light. Numerous times I’ve lingered for ten, thirty minutes or more waiting for sunlight to pierce prevailing gloom. A lesser number of times the light was astonishingly beautiful allowing for leisurely pictures. You still react quickly because you don’t know if it will last, then thirty minutes later realise you might relax. You have fine shots and further time to explore viewpoint, angle, outlook.
Low afternoon or evening light is best. When you’re amongst the autumn Willowherb, along my favourite path, you find the slanted sun is obscured. Above light, below the shade.
