I wasn’t sure how long I’d been walking and photographing around here. I checked my photographs and they date back five years. In five years, I’ve never seen another person in his little place. You leave the main track and cross a relatively unbeaten area. A tree fell about two years ago making the way difficult and the footfalls disappeared. Now you can see, again, a faint walkway through the grass.

To the right of here there’s a small oak tree which I’ve photographed. The leaves were resplendent crisp orange. It looks like it was carefully planted. The direction here lies ahead. Another five minutes and you reach the main track and likely people.
