
The Pyrenees are a wonderful mountain range extending from the Mediterranean to the Atlantic, straddling the border of France and Spain. One of the first things to be said about the Pyrenees is they are big: not the biggest in the world, smaller than the Alps, Andes and Himalayas, but about three times the size of British hills.
