I spent a week in Wales finishing with a wild camp at Llyn Du in the Rhinogs, then back down to the valley.
It’s quite a rough area and not a great favourite accordingly. The evening before I was a little cold and fed up with domestic discomforts. I wanted a kitchen to walk into, some decent food, and a bath.
I woke in the morning to this and my mood changed for the better.
What I enjoy about the Rhinogs is their situation with impressive sea views one side and an outlook across low lying hills to the other.
“Rhinog” means something like threshold. A threshold between land and sea, sea and land, and an ancient craggy place sitting above farm fields below.
I’ve got a long video coming, maybe two or three, and more photos.
