This trip started at Glencoe then up to Torridon and Ullapool. The weather was superb and in spring the midges were bad, but not insanely bad all the time. Alligin was one of the highlights.

I finished at Ullapool and then went for a drive across the Fainnachs before returning. I decided I want to walk the Fainnachs. I am told they are similar to the Mamores, which I walked on my first Scotland trip and liked very much.

I’d be happy coming back here again but the temptation to explore elsewhere, when there’s so much to discover in Scotland, is both exciting and irresistible.
