I didn’t go along the very top of An Teallach because I wasn’t sure how difficult it was. You can see why I was nervous. I consoled myself with the fact of good views lower down, which you would otherwise miss.

At various points along the slightly lower path, which is at the rear, it was possible to scramble up to the top and I considered doing so. I saw people there and in summary, after looking back along the summit climb and seeing it better, I don’t think it’s especially difficult. Technically about the same as Crib Goch perhaps, and for the exposure too.

The airiness however – where you are and where you can see – is considerably more vast. I think that’s the thrill of the summit ridge at An Teallach.
