I’d taken the wrong path to get here. The book tells you quite accurately what to do, which is not to strike up the hillside at a certain point. But the path does that, and I couldn’t see any other path which continued in the direction I should have gone. There was a path however, which is clearly visible when you get to the lake. Not serious. But it’s stressful when you go wrong and in this instance, I was annoyed that’d I’d maybe not taken the most scenic track. A couple were resting just along from here, and a nice French lady greeted me with a smiling “bonjour!” Bonjour indeed, fair maiden.
