The words Moel Siabod translate from Welsh into ‘shapely hill’ which I think is appropriate. The attraction lies with its form and isolation from the surrounding area which allows for big views all around. You can climb it from the lovely Lledr valley and the town of Dolwyddelan, but this route from Capel Curig is by far the best. Because these slopes are so open you can quite easily find a photogenic sidelight which emphasises colour and detail.
