As I was driving down to Buttermere from Honistor, I noticed this exquisite light on the flanks above which you find Dale Head. At moments like this I lose interest in man made “art”. Galleries, paintings, what’s the point of it? It passes though, and I do enjoy the latter, but not the irritating “conceptual” stuff such as unmade beds. Hill walking gives you a new perspective which is geographic, cultural, and psychological.
