I struggle sometimes with shots I’d like to be otherwise in terms of colour and light. This is one of them. I wanted rich colours, blue skies and corresponding impact, but it wasn’t available. After adjusting it a little in Photoshop I found I liked it. A soft moment with soft light. I used a filter which replicates the effect of Fuji Velvia, which was often the film of choice for old school landscape photographers. We take it for granted now but it’s astonishing the power digital photography gives you, although I don’t agree with it when it crosses the line beyond that which you could achieve with film. That’s Llyn Ogwen bottom left. Capel Curig is nearby.
