Top left here is the beginning of the Scafells. Centre top, you can faintly discern Burnmoor Tarn which is a flat area leading eventually to Eskdale. Top right you see Yewbarrow and the valley in the centre is Wasdale. I walked the classic circuit: from Wasdale to Black Sail Tarn, along the ridge to this point where you begin to climb, across the wonderful Pillar plateau with the extensive views, down and up to Yewbarrow, and then back down to the valley.
