There are some views where you don’t see obvious photographs. You may be in a stunning place but that in itself doesn’t always translate into a picture. I spent a long time editing this one with subtle adjustments to colour, saturation, contrast, and the effect of a digital graduated filter. Most important however was a substantial crop. This composition was the main interest and I decided to cut out the rest. It might be a better composition if I’d included a little more foreground. However there were black shadows I didn’t like which I could have modified with Photoshop, but there’s a limit to how much of that I will do. You can walk into this view as the path suggests but my route was on the right across to Pic du Midi d’Ossau.
