The cloud and mist worried me because rain and a storm were forecast. Pyrenees weather can be severe. You expect this in such high mountains. As I climbed higher into the Llena Cantal valley, past the conical summit of Teberrai, blue skies resumed. At this point I’d barely started. These streams meander down into the Respomuso lake. I felt reasonably strong here. After climbing a little I felt dreadful because of a minimal dinner, paltry breakfast, and little more than oatcakes to get me through the arduous day. This wasn’t helped by the fact that it’s an alpine area, slightly harsh in character. The col below Teberrai is the second highest on the entire GR11.
