I know a few places in the Pyrenees which are exceptionally photogenic. This is one of them. You could spend hours here or even a day, exploring viewpoints and watching the light. The drop to the right of Midi d’Ossau is the Col de Peyregret. You climb there then drop down the other side to Pombie if you choose that route. I did it the next day. The book says the views are good at Peyregret. They are but it was a blanket of grey when I got there. There were a few bad weather days this year. That was one of them.
