There are two summits at Rhinog Fach. This is close to the first, if you climb from Cwm Nantcol. The other looks down onto a lake called Llyn Hywell. It’s a marvelous place, the walk behind the two summits the highlight. This day wasn’t as clear and bright as my earlier visit in 2014. I was disappointed. I didn’t get the photographs I wanted but a few others with a different mood. This one for example, very simple but pleasing enough. With good evening light this shot could be very dramatic. It reminds me of beautiful slopes at Brown Tongue, descending Helvellyn many years ago.
