Castle Crag is a notable Lake district location. The rewards are substantial for such an easy walk. You can approach it from two directions. I’ve always started at Grange which leads to a track beside the River Derwent. A lovely location. There’s also a track on the hillside leading over to Seatollor. I’d like to do that some time. I know the area very well so there’s no great exploration for me. It would however make a fine summer evening walk. This view is looking back to Grange. The hill to the right is Castle Crag.
