The views here are delightful, given that little effort is needed to reach this place. I’ve photographed these trees in summer conditions but prefer this winter shot. The distant skyline hills are over at Buttermere. The Borrowdale valley is to the left. High Spy and Maiden Moor, which is where I walked the day after this, are to the right. This is not a monochrome shot. You can see a hint of blue in the sky. You occasionally find a photograph which has to be appreciated with a border or a frame. This is an example. It needs a black border or picture frame to contain the graphics.
