There’s a contemporary trend in hill photography you might describe as sporty. Bright clothes and electronic flash sum it up. The scenery is secondary. It doesn’t matter if the day is uninspiring. Grey skies enhance the style with an effect you might describe as graphic design. It suits certain kinds of outdoor media. It’s attractive, but the feel of it is contrary to my own style. Indeed I usually avoid people. I quite like this shot however, adding a human element looking towards Derwentwater.
