Initially I thought this cloud would pass. It was gathering over the valley systems to the right, but then spilled over and obscured the view here. If you’re in complicated terrain mist and cloud become problematic. That happened a few years ago in the Pyrenees. The route was difficult to find in clear conditions, crossing a hard granite area where you had to rely on cairns. I was suddenly on high alert, taking note of the general direction I should follow if I couldn’t see the cairns. Another time, lost in woods, I did much the same; on that occasion using a compass. The path here was easy to follow. I enjoyed this day.
